Description
Original artwork :NEW Christian artwork to be added to our Music Inspired Art and Christian Art Collections. This one is inspired by the Song by For the Kings & Country called, ” Burn the Ships.” It measures 16″ x 16″ and is created on discarded Sailboat Canvas. It will also be added to that collection which is called, ( Saving the Sails.. A New Creation). Each artwork is usually inspired by a single verse in the song. I will post the lyrics to the entire song below. The complete title of this artwork is, “You Can DANCE UPON The Heartache!” Below are the Lyrics to ” BURN The SHIPS!” By For Kind and Country. How did we get here? All castaway on a lonely shoreI can see in your eyes, dearIt’s hard to take for a moment moreWe’ve got toBurn the ships, cut the tiesSend a flare into the nightSay a prayer, turn the tideDry your tears and wave goodbyeStep into a new dayWe can rise up from the dust and walk awayWe can dance upon our heartache, yeahSo light a match, leave the past, burn the shipsAnd don’t you look backDon’t let it arrest youThis fear is fear of fallin’ againAnd if you need a refugeI will be right here until the endOh, it’s time toBurn the ships, cut the tiesSend a flare into the nightSay a prayer, turn the tideDry your tears and wave goodbyeStep into a new dayWe can rise up from the dust and walk awayWe can dance upon our heartache, yeahSo light a match, leave the past, burn the shipsAnd don’t you look backSo long to shame, walk through the sorrowOut of the fire into tomorrowSo flush the pills, face the fearFeel the wave disappearWe’re comin’ clear, we’re born againOur hopeful lungs can breathe againOh, we can breathe againStep into a new dayWe can rise up from the dust and walk awayWe can dance upon our heartache, yeahSo light a match, leave the past, burn the shipsAnd step into a new dayWe can rise up from the dust and walk awayWe can dance upon our heartache, yeahSo light a match, leave the past, burn the shipsAnd don’t you look backAnd don’t you look backAnd don’t you look backNOTE about this canvas: As you can see these sections of sailboat sail canvas are very rustic. They are unraveled on the edges and some slightly wrinkled… like a piece of a sail found on the beach. They are also seldom perfectly square due to the characteristic of its ability to stretch with the wind. For me this just adds to the essence that this is indeed a piece of sailboat sail canvas… perhaps from a lost ship at sea! Let your imagination soar with this one! I feel it would look great hung on a wall with tacks, or matching colored push pins. Some of my clients hot glue a dowel rod to the top on the backside and hang it by nautical rope or string. YOU can even participate in the creation of this artwork by unraveling it more on the edges if you want to make it look more distressed. These artworks are for the special GREEN-minded people who are like me in that they hate to discard things that can be repurposed. Especially into works of Art.
