Description

This wall installation comes with three hand-built ceramic birds made from high-fire stoneware clay, finished using stains and underglazes, and kiln fired multiple times. Each bird has a sharp, permanently attached steel wire on the back that allows it to push directly into, and extend away from, the wall creating a shadow and three-dimensional effect. These wall installations are ideal for unusual shaped spaces, large walls, or rooms with vaulted ceilings. Each bird is uniquely textured using stamps made by the artist from the soles of her children’s shoes. Sold as a set of three.
